Founded in 1979 by Gary Reed, Reed Financial Group has been helping local retirees and soon-to-be retirees build sound financial strategies that are designed to help provide them with security, confidence, and peace of mind in retirement.

About Gary W. Reed, Founder

Gary began his career in the financial services industry in 1979. Gary formed Reed Financial Group with the simple concept of always doing the right thing and a vision to create an investment company that provides clients with security, value, and peace of mind in retirement. Gary holds a Life, Accident & Sickness license in the state of Georgia. Gary holds insurance licenses in all 50 states. He is an Ed Slott Master Elite IRA Advisor and appeared in the forward of nationally renowned Ed Slott's book, "The IRA Tax Bomb and How to Diffuse It."

With more than three decades of industry experience, Gary is a well-known and respected member of the financial community. He co-authored "The Retirement Challenge," a book that focuses on strategies to avoid some of the most common retirement planning mistakes.

Gary trains financial advisors nationwide and frequently speaks at national investment conferences. He enjoys golf, Braves baseball, football, and spending time with his family - especially his granddaughter, Payton. He lives in Duluth, Georgia, and has been a resident of Gwinnett County for 30 years.

About April Reed Crews, Chief Executive Officer

April Reed Crews is the CEO of Reed Financial Group, and as an Investment Advisor Representative, she has a legal fiduciary responsibility to act in the best interests of her clients. She holds a Life, Accident and Sickness License and gained her status as an IAR by passing the extensive Series 65 securities examination.

Reed Financial Group is a local, family owned company founded 35 years ago by April's father, Gary W. Reed. April works closely with her father, as well as her husband, Daniel Crews, in the specialized areas of protecting and preserving the life savings of retirees. She focuses on strategies that allow her clients to profit in any market cycle, while reducing taxes and creating income strategies to ensure that her clients never run out of money. Reed Financial Group was featured in the September 2014 issue of Forbes Magazine as one of Georgia's Financial Leaders.

April is one of only 300 advisors in the nation to earn the designation of Ed Slott Master Elite IRA Advisor. Additionally, April is one of only 550 advisors nationwide to achieve the National Social Security Advisor Certification. As an NSSA certified advisor, April assists her clients with making informed decisions regarding their Social Security by providing comprehensive Social Security analysis and guidance. She was also named a FIVE STAR Wealth Manager in Atlanta Magazine in both 2011 and 2014. Reed Financial Group is a BBB Accredited Business (A+) and April is a member of the National Ethics Association (A+).

In her spare time, April enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, watching baseball, and supporting Brookwood High School Athletics.

About Abby Reed, Vice President

Abby, Vice President of Reed Financial Group, is an Investment Advisor Representative, holds a Finance degree from Kennesaw State University and has a Life, Accident, and Health Insurance license. As an Investment Advisor Representative, she has a legal fiduciary responsibility to act in the best interests of her clients. She works closely with her clients to design customized solutions for the unique challenges and goals they have. Abby believes that security in retirement comes when you have a financial plan that you understand, and she takes the time to give you all the information and critical facts you need to make a well informed decision that is in your best interest.
